****Runs and Hides****

Tomorrow morning I go to the orthodontist to
get my braces put on....AUUUGHHHHHHHHH!
I will have to wear the little metal buggers for
2 years. On one hand I am excited at the
prospect of them helping to get rid of my TMJ
which has been paining me for over a year
now........on the other hand, I have a very
LOW pain tolerance level, and after reading
about them and the PAIN that goes with getting
them, I am wondering if this was such a good
idea!

***moans and bangs head on computer desk***

I had my spacers put in last week, and WOW do
they hurt! There are 6 plastic ones, and 2 metal
ones. The metal ones are by far the worst, as
I keep "snagging" my tongue on the sharp edges
of them cutting my tongue. The spacers not only
make you feel like you have a wad of meat stuck
between every tooth--but now my teeth actually
feel LOOSE! A totally weird sensation, I must say!

I plan on spending today enjoying my last day
without a "tin grin"........
